#522 "Not entirely redundant"

Murphy looks kinda crappy in panel 3, but that perspective's pretty hard to do for me. I'm really pleased with how Maisy looks in that panel though, I think the little twist in the body came off pretty nicely. The composition's a little cramped though, but I wanted to show everyone in frame and not shrink the images so much as to lose facial expressions. Neko and Maisy were actually drawn on a separate piece of paper to Keno, Murphy and the Dog (which looks like it has three legs there because it has three legs, that's on purpose but not really drawn attention to in the strip) and I arranged them on the computer. I actually do most of my strips that way, drawing characters in whatever pose and then manipulating them so that they look right in relation to each other. Neko slumped over Maisy is drawn as a single unit though, and I do think it's very cute.
