#318 "But what of Ulysses Everett McGill?"

Sorry about the lack of updates, but my concentration's kind of been shot to hell lately, and this IS just a hobby for me. Yes I know there's a donate button, but you're not obligated to send me money and it probably wouldn't affect the frequency with which I update. On the plus side that means I'm not going to hold the comic to ransom unless I get a certain amount, but updates are going to be a little sporadic. I'm writing a Master's degree thesis at the moment, and that's more important to me. It's a very cool thesis actually, I'm writing on the construction of identity in Alan Moore and David Gibbons' Watchmen

I don't know if this one might be a little obscure for some readers. The "who would win in a fight between..." conversation is a staple of geek culture, but some readers might not be familiar with the characters. Ulysses was the Roman name for Odysseus, Ulysses 31 was this really great cartoon series I used to watch, and Ulysses S. Grant was president of the United States in the 19th century, who commissioned railroads. Ulysses Everett McGill was the main character in O Brother Where Art Thou.
