Well.... I can't promise anything I think I can only infect so many minds with Neko... but I try everytime. One more converted as of this weekend! ^_^

Dude, didn't need the net for that, I have the boob kitties! They've invaded every aspect of my life! Boob kitties everywhere, even on my FB profile pic, gack!
But the boobies n kitties song DOES sound intriguing. . .
Love the subtle bummy in this one! Well, besides the bummy motif in the fist panel I mean
OK, as at time of writing we've got 292 fans registered on SmackJeeves...If we get to 300 by the weekend I'll do up a special boobies and kitties picture and put it on the Facebook group.
The facebook group's at a href="http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=36426467550&v=wall
I'm not really sure what to do with it, I've been posting little doodles I do and some high-resolution close-up shots of details in panels that I'm particularly pleased with.
...
But wait a second. If the 291 people who favourited this comic find nine people to tell, that would bring the number up to... Shit, I'm too lazy to count, but you catch my drift, right?
291x9= 2,619, and it'd be amazing if that many people registered.
We're up to 293 now, so we'll probably break the 300 registered fans mark some time next week. 2,619 registered fans is probably going to take a while.
We're just hoping to get to 300 by the weekend for the sake of the high five :)
Crazy Cat lady alice
For some reason i like this Alice. I'm posting as a guest but i may register at some point and post more. Is it Ironic that shes still wearing her Alice-in-Wonderlandesce outfit?
It's just the nature of time in comics. There's an ever-shifting 'now', so the precise date doesn't really matter unless it's significant to the storyline.
It's like how Spider-Man isn't set in the 60's-70's any more, but in the titles that have been running that long he hasn't aged 40-50 years, despite the world he inhabits keeping up with changes in society and technology in our world.
Actually, I think the 2009 halloween special is the first time we've shown a halloween happening since the kittens were born in 2003. We've established that the missing section of the archives covers about 8 months worth of memory loss for Gar, and then in the spirit guide storyline where Neko meets the author, time was jumped forward a year to essentially reset the comic. I think that means technically it's November 1st 2005 or 2006 in the Nekoverse.
I'm not particularly interested in making this thing a period piece though, so it's just set in 'present day', whatever that happens to be. That's why we try not to use too many pop culture references. I think there was one strip where Sadaam Hussein was on the TV, and one when President Obama was inaugurated, and other than that it's been pretty much timeless.
At most four years have passed in comic time since the first strip back in 2002, and 20 months of that are unaccounted for.
Anyway, it's not really all that important, we're here to enjoy a story about weird farting cats and how to have fun through benign maleficence. To paraphrase the Mystery Science Theatre 3000 theme song: Remember it's just a comic, you should really just relax.
Free sketch for anyone who cites Neko the Kitty comics in an academic essay, though. Better use of citation wins better sketches!
What i would like to see in a comic is a character that when they see the date of something the Date is whatever date the comic was completed on and is somewhat aware of the dates. ie; "Wait. this Calender says its the 4th. wasnt it the first a little bit ago?" "What are you talking about? Its always been the 4th. Are you crazy?" and of course all the other characters think that the person is a bit Crazy.
